How to Improve Your Putting Pace Control

When amateur golfers refine their golfing ability, they typically head to the range and work on their long game.

Whilst there is nothing wrong with that, amateurs often neglect their short game – which is where the majority of shots are dropped.

Putting can be infuriating at times, but it’s also fundamentally important if you’re looking to shave strokes off your game.

When faced with a lengthy putt, it’s vitally important that the pace is controlled expertly, otherwise you may see your putt race 10 foot past the hole – making three-putting very possible.

If you’re someone who struggles on the green, try to master pace putting. Once you’ve improved, you can then focus on reading greens with the right break accounted for.

Steve North shares his expertise around pace putting – and why it’s so important to master sooner rather than later.
